The exterior looks nice, and the apartment itself seemed nice too, but I got a nasty surprise after returning home. Pierre&Vacances charged me twice for the Avoriaz apartment, once when I booked and again at check-in. I only spotted the much larger withdrawal when I looked at my bank statement online. It's been hard to get this sorted because the chain only has a call center, and proving the duplicate payment is difficult. They use different names for online and in-person transactions, which seems like a clever trick. I'm still trying to get the money back, with lots of hassle and no reply or apology so far. I won't give up :))))

You can ski right to the door, and the location has a nearby ticket office, supermarket, ski hire shops, bars, and restaurants. The rooms are fine if you don't plan to spend much time indoors. They're pretty basic, with a bedroom and bathroom, a living area with a sofa bed, and a small kitchen. Bed linen and towels can be rented, so check first, as most rooms don't include them.

Good spot for the price, but there's no Wi-Fi. We couldn't open the windows at all because swarms of flies came in whenever we tried.

A nice place and a great base for a ski vacation in Avoriaz.
