I’ve stayed at this hotel three times in the last 15 years, after 50 years of being lucky enough to visit top ski hotels across Europe and North American. For its type, it’s honestly one of the best in the world, and certainly the best value. It ticks every box: a fantastic location, good rooms, great food, and above all, great staff. It’s owner managed, and you can tell. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had a great room with a welcome balcony and a view, and the staff were really pleasant. The spa and pool were great too. Breakfast was fantastic, and the location was perfect for mountain biking. Can’t fault the place. Would recommend!

The room was well soundproofed, and the hotel is beside the field where paragliders land. It was enjoyable to watch them, and the spot gave me more privacy and peace than most places in the valley. The staff were friendly and spoke English too. One problem was the address on booking.com. It took me to the top of the hill overlooking the valley. The view was stunning, so I wasn’t mad, but it added 40 minutes to a journey that had already taken nine hours. I’d initially given the service five stars, but the cleaning staff came into my room three times while I was trying to sleep, even though I had the do not disturb sign on my door. They were doing things that weren’t needed, since I was checking out the next morning. I was so angry about this violation that I almost threw something at her head, but of course I didn’t. I just kept lying there. After that, I started propping the door handle shut.

There’s plenty for kids and young people to do, with board games, books and a pool table. The pool and spa are great after skiing, and the food has a good variety and is great. It’s an amazing family-run hotel, with spacious, big rooms and friendly staff. I’d definitely recommend it and come back!
