The staff were excellent. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable, though the shower was really tiny. The hotel shuts down firmly at 2000. There’s a small shared room on the ground floor, but that gets locked at 2000 too unless you ask the staff to leave it open.

Everyone was kind, from the front desk team to housekeeping, and there was always a friendly face at reception. We returned once while our room was being cleaned and had to wait in the courtyard. They apologized a lot, though they really didn’t need to. The room was perfectly taken care of and very clean. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it highly.

The beds were very comfortable, and breakfast had a great selection. You can book parking in advance for £22.00 per night. The hotel is excellently placed for the shops and restaurants in St Malo.

My daughter and I stayed three nights, and the owners made it such an enjoyable visit. They were friendly and helpful, and gave us some great dinner recommendations. The location intra euros was perfect, with everything right on our doorstep. We slept well in comfortable, quiet beds, and the en-suite shower room was well equipped. We’d love to stay again.

A really special stay inside the walls of Saint malo. It’s one of the oldest buildings we’ve stayed in, the staff were super friendly, and the location was awesome.
