Travelling with kids, this was the best value for money I’ve ever had. Avoriaz feels like a fairy tale for children, with really cute houses and plenty to do. The apartment was basic but fully sufficient, and you can ski right to the ski storage, which was super convenient. There’s also free transport to and from the parking. Our TV didn’t work at first, but they fixed it in five minutes. The one thing I didn’t like was having to clean the kitchenette yourself.

The room was in bad shape, and the dishwasher was completely useless. After several complaints, the boot heating in the ski room still wasn’t working. Then, after we’d left, they charged €300 in “cleaning fees” that hadn’t been mentioned on the booking website. It felt like an absolute scam, and I’ll make sure none of my friends stay here in future. Edit: A month later they tried to charge me even more fees. I highly doubt that’s legal, and I’m appealing through Visa and invoking my consumer rights.

Ski in, ski out access made staying here very convenient, and the reception team were helpful whenever we needed them. It’s at Avoriaz 1800, a few sets of escalators up from the resort’s central area. For a three star place, it was good value. I’ll definitely stay again with my daughter.

The location was very good, and the pre-arrival services were okay. But management and administration were poor, and staff didn’t seem to communicate with each other. We waited a long time for our room, and on arrival we weren’t allowed to leave our equipment in the ski area before checking in.

The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, and a good size. It’s in a fabulous spot with easy ski in, ski out access. I’d stay here again.
