The front desk staff were welcoming and spoke good English, but the rooms are run down. There were holes in the walls, water stains, yellowing paint, and a stained toilet. The garden was full of weeds, and the shower was mouldy. The toilet kept leaking and had me awake most of the night. Breakfast had a limited selection and bad coffee. The hotel has a lot of potential, but it needs a complete refurbishment. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

It’s a bit rough around the edges, and some spots could use a lick of paint. Still, when we were running out of options and stumbled across it, it turned out to be a little rough diamond. I’ve never felt so looked after by a receptionist in France. She showed me four different rooms, each with a different view and layout. We haven’t tried breakfast yet, but the free madeleines have me looking forward to it. I’m sitting by the lovely pool in the sun now. The water is fresh, clean, and not freezing, and they gave us towels and arranged a couple of sunbeds. €116 for the two of us with breakfast included is pretty good, especially in high season.
