The breakfast alone was a highlight, with fresh bread, pastries, and cakes the owner baked each morning. There was plenty to choose from, and the homemade jams kept changing, so they never got old. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the hosts were wonderfully kind and full of useful advice. Beyond the gate, the place feels like another world, with cats, dogs, llamas, and donkeys around. A lovely choice for a weekend or holiday in the Vendée.
