Hôtel les Liserons de Mougins

The location worked well for exploring. Mougins’ historic village is about five minutes away by car, and the A8 is right there for trips farther south, including cap ferret and Monaco. There’s a large supermarket across the road, around 300 metres away, and a petrol station about a kilometre along the same side. I stayed five nights in mid-July 2025, in room 15, which has a terrace but is quite compact. Room 14 is larger and also has a terrace. The room was clean, housekeeping was efficient, and the air conditioning worked faultlessly. Parking was plentiful, and despite the nearby road network, traffic noise wasn’t an issue. The pool area was lovely, especially in the late afternoon. Adam, the manager, was charming and very helpful, and his recommendations are worth taking note of. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bean-to-cup coffee machine. I’ve had plenty of disappointing coffee from those over the years, but this one was among the best I’ve tried, and I appreciated having it at breakfast and later in the afternoon. I’d strongly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Our room was awful. The bedroom and bathroom smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but staff refused to move us, saying the hotel was fully booked. Since it was late, we couldn’t find another option. If the room had been cleaned the day before, staff must have known the previous guest smoked there and still didn’t get the smell out, despite the non-smoking policy.

We chose this hotel for two nights while attending a wedding, and the location and amenities were great, including air conditioning. The staff were approachable and friendly, and helped with everyday things as well as forgotten items like our toothpaste. They also gave us directions, a map, and a list of local restaurants. I’d recommend it if you’re after a stay with a slightly rustic feel.

Lovely little bungalows, wonderful views, and a great pool. The staff were lovely too. This place feels like a hidden gem.
