The setting by the river in Mayenne is amazing and peaceful. The room furniture isn't modern, but everything was neat and clean. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so plan around that.

The waiter made us feel valued, with attentive, cheerful service and a good sense of humor. We had one of the set menus last night, and the food was fantastic. The recommended wine was lovely and still reasonably priced. It was quiet, mainly because of the time of year. This beautiful restaurant would be a great pick for a special occasion.

The five-course 41E90 menu was excellent, with first-class ingredients cooked perfectly. We had foie gras and smoked ham salad, crevette and tomato risotto, seafood chowder, magret and beef, local cheeses, and desserts, including a fabulous tarte tartin. Our host recommended this riverside restaurant for Sunday lunch, and the terrace has magnificent views over the Mayenne. We got a warm welcome and friendly, informative service throughout. Highly recommended, and we'll undoubtedly return.

I stopped for one night on a business trip. Reception was closed, but they quickly got me the entrance code and room number. Everything was OK.
