As a wedding photographer, I've worked at a lot of venues, but Château de Garde in Bordeaux has stayed with me. The restored château has light filled rooms for getting ready, a romantic courtyard edged with palm trees, and lovely portrait spots all around. Vineyards and old stone walls give it a mix of French elegance and relaxed charm. The team is professional and keeps the day moving smoothly, so couples can enjoy it. The scenery and light are beautiful to photograph from sunrise through golden sunset. For a Bordeaux wedding with a timeless romantic feel and an intimate atmosphere, Château de Garde can leave both you and your guests in awe.

We celebrated our Swedish–French wedding at Château de Garde on October 25, 2025, and the full weekend went very well. The venue was peaceful and beautiful among the vineyards, and worked for both the ceremony and dinner. Even with the rainy October weather, everything ran smoothly. The renovated rooms and shared areas suited a whole weekend of getting ready and celebrating, and guests from Sweden and France felt the setting was ideal. Muriel and her team were helpful and professional throughout the planning. Fanny, our coordinator, kept the day on schedule and made sure things went to plan, so we could relax with our guests. Oplaisir's catering team served really good food with excellent service. Several guests mentioned it, and the team clearly knows weddings and all the details involved. Château de Garde gives you a unique experience without feeling over the top. We can warmly recommend it as a wedding venue.

There are so many different places at the venue for your events, and it has everything you need. Celine and Muriel were an absolute pleasure to work with while we planned our three day wedding weekend. We hosted the wedding of our dreams at Chateau de Garde this June. Wish we could do the whole thing again 💙

We’re still not over what an amazing wedding weekend we had here. It was a magical venue, and all our friends said it was the best wedding they'd been to. We stayed for three days, with one day beforehand to set up and a pool party the day after. The accommodation was stunning, and the rooms and facilities were all amazing. Celine, Lea and Muriel were so good to work with, always helpful and great at communicating. They were available for a call whenever we needed one, especially in the month beforehand. Highly recommend. Sad it's over!

We booked Château de Garde for our wedding on the 20.8.25, and the guests loved what the venue had to offer over the three days we stayed. We travelled from Ireland to France to see it and fell in love with the beautiful place. From our first enquiry, Muriel was friendly and so helpful.
