Chambre d'Hôtes L'Odalyre

The cleaning staff who were there were friendly enough, but there was no welcome from the hosts. I got a text saying they were away for family reasons, with the gate and room codes. The hosts apparently only come for two months of the year and don't live there, so it's the cleaning staff on site, and not all day. No one told us where breakfast was. And breakfast was poor: for two people, just two tiny jam jars, barely enough even after scraping, plus one small chocolate croissant and one stale croissant. There's a lot to improve, especially at this price. We absolutely don't recommend this unwelcoming place. It wasn't fabulous at all, whatever some easily pleased people say.

The host gave us great suggestions for restaurants and things to do, and breakfast was generous, served in a pleasant shared veranda with a fridge available. Our room at Odalyre was spotless and well equipped, with air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, private terrace, access to a shared pool, and a parking space. Impeccable stay.

The cottage was comfortable, equipped well, and just as described. A lovely find on our way to the Var coast. I didn't get to meet the owners because of personal circumstances, but I left breakfast arrangements to a friend, and they trusted us to handle it. That was a kind gesture. Thanks for everything. I'll definitely come back, and highly recommend it.

The setting was lovely and quiet, and the room was clean. Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but it was perfectly fine for us.
