Hotel le Belvédère

The waitress was lovely and tried to help by offering to change our order, but the owners were really disagreeable. They seemed to have no idea how much bad service can hurt a restaurant's reputation. Our pizzas tasted bad and seemed stale. We only ate some because we were hungry and it was raining, and we didn't want to get drenched looking for somewhere else. In a village that depends on tourism, it's odd to find a place that seems to despise tourists. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is my first in 18 months, for the sake of our stomachs. I hope it sends people to any other place in Moustiers.

The setting felt rustic and old, just what I expected from Moustiers Saint Marie. I didn't find the food bad like some other reviewers said. I'd recommend the pizza.

We were a group of six, and three people got their meals about 15 minutes before the rest of us, so we couldn't eat together. In the evening, two of us came down with stomach cramps and diarrhea. My wife also got a cheeseburger with an ice-cold bun on top, as if it had come from the refrigerator. I'll try somewhere else next time.

The pizza was average, and they add a completely absurd €5 fee if you want to share it. I definitely wouldn't recommend going.
