Chateau Breduriere

The lovely surroundings and warm hospitality keep bringing us back. We’ve visited this castle six times, and the gites and tents have been just as good every time. It’s the best place in western France to spend time with kids. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

We only had one night here, which wasn’t long enough. The bedroom was huge and the bed so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The views are wonderful, and the place itself is beautiful. Wonda and Oscar were lovely. We’d definitely recommend staying here. X

Pool, vineyard, good food, and lovely people. It’s peaceful and beautiful too. Just the best, you need to go!

The lodge and location were lovely, but I’m still frustrated about an unresolved dispute over my deposit. I sent €250 from the UK when I booked, making sure Marieke received the full amount despite conversion charges on my end. When it was refunded, I got only €200 because of bank charges imposed by Marieke’s bank, leaving me €50 out of pocket. I tried to sort this out with Marieke and explained that, as an international business, she should ensure customers receive the full deposit back after any fees. She says the costs are mine because I live outside France, so we haven’t resolved it. International customers should be aware of potential problems with fees and, in my view, a lack of understanding and management of international banking charges on her part.
