The house has been kept in really incredible shape, and Lisa is such a lovely host and cook. I was in a triple room, and saw at least one room for four too, so families with kids seem well catered for. As a bike tourist who mostly camps, I sometimes book a bed-and-breakfast for a proper night's rest, and this was a great choice. There’s beautiful furniture, clearly chosen with care, musical instruments, and a fabulous four-course dinner. Lisa said she’d love to host groups of musicians and put on concerts. From the instruments, I got the impression she mostly means classical and early or baroque music.

I was cycling the Ravel route and stayed overnight at the house. It made for a lovely evening with wonderful people, and the welcome felt warm all night. Thanks to everyone for the food, wine, Qigong, and kindness! Marion

Lisa, the 81-year-old owner from the Netherlands, has spent her life devoted to music. Her beautifully decorated old house has lots of instruments, and guests are welcome to play, though you don’t need to be a musician to stay. I found the rooms spacious and nicely furnished, with comfortable beds. There’s plenty of room in the big barn, where concerts take place, and bikes can be stored safely there. The prices were very reasonable, and breakfast was good. Lisa sometimes cooks meals too. Around six, the kitchen started smelling amazing. There were dishes in the oven and pots bubbling on the stove, and dinner was beautifully made. We ate at the table with the other guests, and it was one of the best meals of our holiday. I really enjoyed talking with Lisa and the others and swapping ideas. It’s amazing she keeps all this going at her age. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome!
