Valerie and Frank made our family stay a real highlight of the year. Their home, rooms and garden were beautiful, comfortable and homely, and the room was set up just right for our two young children. Communication was excellent. I still think about Valerie’s wonderful cooking, especially her breakfast cakes. She even baked some for us to take on the long drive home. We visited in July and August 2021, and I know this review is late, but I wanted to make sure I wrote it.

The bedroom was beautiful and so peaceful, with floor-to-ceiling doors opening onto a balcony, lovely curtains, a big walk-in shower, separate WC and heated towel rails. Breakfast was superb, and we ate while looking over the flower-filled garden, with bees buzzing around. Fred’s honey, from the hives at the bottom of the garden, was delicious and available to buy. Fred also shared great local tips, including places to eat. The house and setting are stunning, and Fred and Valerie were incredibly kind and welcoming. Valerie’s food is all organic. We’d happily come back and would definitely recommend it.

Our children especially loved the pool and garden, and the owners were really nice. The omelet was plain, just as we liked it, and there was fresh fruit and perfectly chilled water. Great shower and bed, too. One of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed in. It’s beautifully styled but still warm and cheerful. We’d love to return.

We only managed one night, which was our only regret. The evening meal was outstanding, and breakfast on the balcony as the sun rose over the trees was wonderful. The setting was beautiful and immaculately kept, and our host was fantastic. Heavenly, really. I’m sure we’ll be back.

The pool was a lovely surprise. This is such a nice country home for a relaxing night, with beautiful grounds, tasteful renovated rooms, comfortable beds and friendly hosts. Breakfast was delicious too. What more do you need for an overnight stay?
