The countryside here is lovely, and the air feels so fresh.
The rooms are so cramped you can barely pass between the beds, and the gloomy decor and atmosphere made us feel like we were in a remake of The Shining. I even wondered whether the place would meet safety standards if there were a fire, since I think we could all get trapped. For a hotel claiming to be two stars, it’s expensive given how poor the service was.
We hardly noticed the weak soundproofing once we were asleep. The room had plenty of space, with a sitting area and separate bathroom and toilet, and breakfast was really good for such a modest price. The hotelier was lovely, too, and we got a very warm welcome.
There's a lot of potential here, but the place feels badly dated and no work seems to have been done or be planned. The large room had single-glazed windows, and breakfast was in a room heated by a portable oil stove. Pack a sweater or warm jacket.
The breakfast costs far too much for what is basically a buffet in name only. The hotel doesn’t meet its standards either: it’s dirty and badly soundproofed, yet very expensive.
