There were only two toilets in the wash block, and I couldn’t find any fresh water taps around the campsite. The showers did get piping hot. We were there with our dogs, but this place wasn’t a good fit for us: they weren’t allowed on the beaches, and we couldn’t find a quieter spot where they could swim like we usually do in France.

The cottages were spotless and set far enough apart to feel spacious, with no cars driving past them. Staff were friendly, and the lake view was lovely. One of the nicest campsites I’ve seen.

There’s plenty of room at the campsite, and the facilities are good. It’s also right by a lovely lake with restaurants on the beach, and close to a beautiful village.

We come here every day. It’s a quieter stretch of lakefront than the opposite side, but there’s just as much to do, plus more shade when it’s hot.

The lake and its surroundings are wonderful. The campsite also gives you some privacy, thanks to the reasonably sized hedges.
