There was a strong chemical smell as soon as my group and I arrived. My roommate and I thought about requesting another room, but our colleagues' rooms smelled the same, so it seemed like pest treatment or possibly an effort to cover up another odor. After two nights, I had small red spots on my hands, legs, and back. I thought they might be a mild reaction to the chemicals. By the third night, though, they were swollen, inflamed, and itchy, and I had a slight fever. Looking more closely, I realized they were bed bug bites. I needed allergy medicine and have been uncomfortable for days. I’m a performing artist, and I still have to cover the marks with makeup onstage. Hygiene issues also seem to come up in other reviews, so I hope the hotel investigates thoroughly and takes immediate steps to stop other guests going through this. I recently stayed here with a group as a performing artist, and the experience was deeply disappointing because of this serious hygiene problem.

The elevator was out of order during our visit, and the hotel offered no help. The breakfast was poor, the stairs dirty, and some furniture was broken. The rooms were quite basic, though very fairly priced. Staff were more or less friendly.

The bathroom was awful, the tub smelled as if there were rotting rats in the sewer pipes. In winter the shower only gave a little lukewarm water, and I had to turn on the cold tap to use the shower head. The water flow seemed to be deliberately restricted. There was no hairdryer or drinking water in the room either. For 135 euros a night, the hygiene was shockingly poor. Other Google reviews describe the same thing, so I can only hope I don’t get bitten by bed bugs or bring them home.

I was there for 22 days and they never cleaned my room, even though I put out the sign asking for cleaning before 10 AM on three days. I ended up buying cleaning products and doing it myself.

Filthy, dirty, and smelly, with no housekeeping to clean the room. The staff were rude and unfriendly. Worst hotel ever, and I would never stay there again.
