The breakfast was the highlight, with lots of choice, served in a beautiful room overlooking Place Stanislas. The staff were friendly, and the hotel's location is great. Inside it's old but okay. My room felt stuffy and was very noisy, with sounds from the street and neighbors carrying straight through. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. They weren’t helpful or flexible, and despite me saying several times that I don’t eat meat or fish, they served me a dish with fish eggs and fish sauce. It was a very unfriendly experience for a restaurant at that level. In 2024, there should be a vegetarian option on every menu, or the restaurant should be more accommodating.

We stopped in for a drink. I tried two different cocktails, both standard ones, and neither was up to what I’d expect from a place like this. Such a pity. The building is beautiful, the interior feels warm and cozy, and the staff are nice and efficient. 😕

What really made my stay was the staff. They were great while I was there, and later they even mailed me the things I’d left behind. The hotel also has elegant interiors, delicious breakfast, and incredible views from rooms facing the square. There’s a certain feeling here that sets it apart from other hotels.

We stayed two nights at De la Reine, and it was just what we needed. The location is perfect for shops, restaurants, and the park, and the bed was very comfortable, if soft. We were on the first floor, which guests can’t reach by elevator. The hotel staff had to take us and our stroller, for our two-month-old baby, up using the staff elevator. The room also had no safe or fridge.

The front desk team were amazing and made the stay a lot of fun. We loved the light show. There was quite a bit of noise overnight on the weekend, probably parties in Stanislas square, and we didn’t get much sleep.
