The rooms were very good, and this centrally located hotel in Nancy had everything I needed as a tired traveller. We booked at short notice and got the best available option at the time, a junior suite on the hotel's top floor, the 7th. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. We arrived late, and the hotel restaurant was closed for the summer. The receptionist kindly offered to book us a table at a nearby Brasserie he strongly recommended, and it was very good. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The mini-bar, with 2 bottles of water, 2 sodas, and a juice, was included in the room price. I wasn’t planning to watch TV, but looked for an English-language channel to catch up on the news. The only one was CNN int, which isn’t my cup of tea. The hotel could add more content for international guests who don’t speak French. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of hot and cold choices, and the coffee was good. The pastries were cold, and there wasn’t any real cereal.

The location worked well, with the station and car park nearby and an easy walk to the lively parts of town. The rooms were pleasant but pretty standard, and service was okay. It felt more geared toward business groups and meetings than people traveling for leisure.

Our car broke down, so we had to stop in Nancy unexpectedly. We were lucky to find the Mercure Nancy, where everything we asked for was taken care of. We still have the fondest memories of the city and the hotel, and would love to return. Thanks again!
