The photos on the RCN website and app's recreatieprogramma don't match what you find there. The pool pictures use a very wide-angle lens, and the exaggerated images left us disappointed at the start, even though the real pool and scenery are very nice. The pool was so cold that our kids got blue lips and shivered, saying they didn't want to swim. It was only nice on days above 30 celcius. There are hardly any playgrounds, just one swing by the bathhouse and a toddler playground at the restaurant, so when it's too cold for swimming, the kids have little to do. We spent two weeks in a Safari Tent on a Dutch campsite. The surroundings were beautiful, and the field behind our tent was perfect for star-gazing.

The pool is the big problem here. It's much too small for the number of people, usually crowded and splashy, and ought to be double the size. More slides would help, and there aren't enough sun beds or shaded spots. The water isn't heated, so it's very cold. Despite the beautiful, quiet setting, this would put me off coming back. Those are huge drawbacks, which is a pity because the place itself is wonderful. It's peaceful among all the greenery in the hills, with just enough entertainment. There are lovely rivers around 20-25 minutes away. The reception and maintenance staff are both very friendly, and most visitors are Dutch because the company is Dutch. If walking uphill is hard for you, this place won't suit you. The nearest big town with supermarkets is 40 minutes away, though it's really lovely, with a market and restaurants and cafes.

We made what we could of the stay, and it was ok, but the park had plenty of problems. The bathrooms weren't cleaned once in our two weeks, when they should normally be cleaned daily or even twice a day. Water in both the showers and dishwashing area was constantly cold, and the power kept cutting out. The staff were nice and friendly, though they seemed to be under the manager's tight control and not allowed to make their own decisions. Everything shut early too: the pool at 19, the snackcorner at 20, and the restaurant kitchen at 21.

We're a week into our two-week stay and very happy here, just the two of us and our dog in a tent. The campsite is in a stunning location, feels very family oriented, and has great facilities. Staff are friendly and really helpful. The river on site is safe to swim in, and the pool is heated. When we arrived, we got a guidebook full of things to do and see, with plenty of walks. The trails are clearly marked and easy to follow, and there's lots more tourist information in the reception building.

Our stay was very pleasant, and we'd certainly come again if they sort out the showers. In the new shower building, the water is mostly cold and the buttons often don't work. It's a very nice, Dutch-oriented campsite. The pitches are on terraces and aren't very big, but our 7 meter caravan fitted well enough. The activity team speaks Dutch, English, French, and German.
