After checkout, we left our luggage with the hotel staff. When we came back 3 hours later, my backpack was gone. The manager never came out to speak with us or apologize. I confronted him in his office, but he didn’t greet me or look up from his computer. He said he hadn’t handled the bags himself and knew nothing about it, then suggested we might have imagined leaving the backpack there. He just carried on working and ignored us. The bags had been left in an open hallway by the elevator and stairs, between the kitchen, staff offices and main lobby. There were no security cameras. The staff member who took the bag apologized for forgetting to give us a tag. I reported what happened to the police, but nothing could be done. The manager still didn’t come out to address us or say sorry. Be very careful with your belongings here. The hotel management doesn’t care about them.

Breakfast was tasty, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a large bathroom and good beds. The hotel is a few metres from Graslin parking. On foot, it’s about 10 minutes to Tour Bretagne and around 20 to the Castle Ducks of Bretagne and the Elephant. The staff were nice.

Our room was small, and it had a pipe running from the ceiling through the floor. The reception staff seemed poorly trained, and despite what the website says, there’s no parking of its own. I’d skip this place next time.

The breakfast was lovely, and our modern room had some nice touches. The hotel sits on a quiet pedestrian street right in the city centre, and the staff made us feel welcome.
