We got upgraded to a spacious studio, and the beds were reasonable. The bathroom was large, clean, and well maintained, but the room’s atmosphere felt empty and unwelcoming. The interior could use more care, as if saving money had taken priority over guest comfort. Staff were very friendly, fluent in English, and check-in went smoothly. The location is decent, around a 15-minute walk from the city centre, though it isn’t central. Underground parking is easy to access and highly recommended, since there’s virtually no street parking nearby. Breakfast was very basic, and nothing was replenished during our stay. The entrance and lobby feel gloomy and need better decor to feel welcoming. The hallway was extremely dark, making it hard to find the room doors without a flashlight. The photo of it was taken during the day. There’s no air conditioning, so it may get hot in summer.

I really hope I can come back soon. The location was perfect, everything was spotless, and the staff were attentive and kind. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was very good. The garage cost just €10 per night, which felt more than fair, and the stay was good value. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews. My experience was excellent.

Les Machines is a great reason to stay here, and the tram is only a minute away. Weekend transport is free, which makes trips into and out of the city centre easy. You can also walk along the Liore.

Chloë at reception greeted us when we arrived in the morning and arranged somewhere for us to leave our luggage and bikes. It was handy being so close to les Machines de l’île, and the bike parking was secure.

The area felt a little sketchy at first, but once inside, the room was amazing. The location is central and the tramway is easy to reach. Staff were nice and accommodating too. For the price, I’d recommend staying here.
