OLDEGAR Hôtel

The shower was a little awkward and left the bathroom floor soaked, but everything else was absolutely fine. Staff were really helpful, and the location was great.

Breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly. An excellent hotel.

The location worked really well, close to the town centre, food options and convenience stores. There’s also a park right next door, and parking outside. I came to France for the first time and found the hotel on Google Maps, looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful for a short break. Dune welcomed us and checked my daughter in, making sure we had what we needed. Our room was on the second floor, with lift access, which is handy for disabled guests. It had twin beds as requested, each with a bedside table and wall lamp. The bathroom was a good size, with a separate toilet, a huge sink area, and a hairdryer. The big window opened all the way onto a view of the French cobbled streets, the park, and locals passing by. There was even a recycling bin. The TV was there, though we had some trouble streaming Netflix. The receptionist, whose name I’m sorry I didn’t catch, was amazing. He gave us a map and recommended places including the Castle and Robotic Elephant. Breakfast came with our booking: hot drinks, fresh bread, croissants, and the usual condiments. I’d have given five stars if there had been a hot breakfast option. We had a lovely stay, and I’d consider coming back to Nantes and staying here again. Thank you!

The breakfast was minimal, but fair for the price. The place was very clean and well located for getting around. Our apartment had very comfortable bunk beds, though climbing the bare-foot painful rungs to the top bunk could be improved with flat steps. I’d definitely return.
