The beds were comfortable, and the showers were great. We had a lovely three-bedroom apartment with comfy lounge chairs, though it was up four flights of stairs and you had to watch your head on the beams inside. The whole place has a quirky feel, and they’re working hard to restore a beautiful old building. Everything was an easy walk away. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. You can feel the care put into the old walls and this historic building. It’s still being renovated, but it’s already beautiful. I’m excited to see how it looks when the work is finished.

We ended up in the Romantica room after a bit of confusion at check-in. We’d booked on arrival while visiting Narbonne and asked to see the room before paying, but the receptionist booked us in before showing it to us. It was smaller than we expected, especially after seeing photos of other rooms on the website. A few minutes later, she came back to ask for payment. We then asked to move to the other room we’d seen, which still appeared to be available and cost only €10 more. At first she was a bit tense and said we couldn’t switch because we’d already been in the room. I pointed out that we’d asked to see it before paying and that hadn’t happened. She eventually agreed, saying they didn’t usually do that, and I was very happy with the outcome. Romantica really did have a wow factor, with lovely curtains and soft furnishings that gave it a very French feel. The kitchen was modern and had what we needed for self-catering, including coffee bags, different teas, and toiletries. There was a large, very comfortable bed, plus a sofa, chairs, a table, and a dining area. If you’re after a little luxury, I’d recommend this room, and the rooms in this part of the building. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’ll be back.

We barely needed to interact with the host, which suited us fine. This is a lovely converted convent, with spacious, comfortable rooms and great air conditioning. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was great.

Each room has its own luxurious style, so staying here feels like stepping through different periods of history. I loved the mix of history and creativity in the monastery, and the way they’ve arranged the old building with touches of modern style and wood.
