Au Moulin de Flagy

The mill was quaint and beautiful, and we could hear the creek running as we fell asleep each night. We were there for our honeymoon, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. Everyone was so kind and helpful, even though we don't speak French. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and the food was spectacular every time. The caring staff were a highlight of our trip. Would definitely recommend Au Moulin.

The meat portions were tiny, much like the two very small pieces in the starter, and the bone marrow was partly uncooked, so I asked to have it cooked more. There was no gros sel, and in fact no salt, with it. For a 32 or 42 euro menu, I also expected more attention to the basics: paper napkins instead of cloth, no snack with the drink, and no butter with the bread. When I asked, I got a little wrapped cube like "president." The coffee spoon was bent too. The lunch was overrated and overpriced. I'm French, and we eat out several times a week, with menus from 17 to 125 euros. I'd rate this restaurant a 3 out of 5. The food quantity, presentation, and service all need more attention.

We stumbled on this place almost by accident, and what a lovely surprise. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, the food was amazing, and the service was great. I highly recommend it.

The restaurant was very nice and the food was good, but the room wasn't comfortable. It was small, with a handheld shower and a low beam across the room, about five feet high. I'm 6'4", and the regular bed wasn't comfortable either. There was no receptionist when we arrived. A nice man showed us to the room, but we couldn't ask for a different one, and he didn't speak English.
