Domaine Acciola

The access road is rocky, so getting there adds a bit of adventure. Once there, the beautiful, well-equipped houses and the stunning natural surroundings made Domaine Acciola a great choice for our weekend away. There were six friends in our group, and it suited us perfectly.

The quiet was wonderful. Clara sits right by the olive trees, and the other houses are far enough away that we never heard the neighbors. We stayed there for five nights in October with our dog, and the private pool and house were just right for two. It had everything we needed. When necessary, the air conditioning cooled the upstairs bedroom, and the small terrace canopy gave us shade from the sun. We don't speak French, but communication was seamless. Fabienne was always available and took care of everything attentively. She even opened the little shop so we could take some oil home. The Domaine website recommends arriving in an SUV. We had a regular car and found the house easy to reach by driving slowly and carefully. We'd happily come back :)

This was our second stay at the estate, and we're already thinking about coming back a third time. The sheepfolds made a lovely place to see out one year and start the next. It's an idyllic spot, wonderfully peaceful, and Fabienne and the rest of the staff are lovely. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet stay. Fabienne was so kind and welcoming, and stayed available throughout the week. She also shared great addresses for a gourmet stay, thank you again ☺️! We spent a week in Julie's sheepfold surrounded by nature, with animals coming over to say hello in the evenings. It was great. The room was very pleasant and had air conditioning. The kitchen and bathroom layout were a small drawback, and the finishes could use another look.
