My mother-in-law really enjoyed the House cocktail. Lunch was lovely, with beautiful dishes and friendly service. They took my 5yo’s order right away and asked what he liked and how he wanted it prepared. He’s a picky eater, but they made sure he was happy, and it worked!

We loved being out in the countryside, close to some lovely villages. It’s a rustic farmhouse with a great host. A thunderstorm knocked out the power, but the owners did everything they could to keep it from spoiling our stay.

We had a really enjoyable meal and evening, with very good food and friendly staff. You can dine in the garden. It’s at least 15 minutes from Amboise and a little pricey, but it was a pleasant hotel and restaurant.

I’d been so put off by the thought of eating snails, but I finally tried them, and they were absolutely delicious! The food was excellent, and all the dishes were seasonal and full of flavor. We felt right at home thanks to the warm, friendly welcome. A wonderful find on our way to Paris. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area again, and I highly recommend it.
