The first night began on a genuinely warm note. Safi, the receptionist who welcomed us, was friendly, polite, and helpful, and invited us to have breakfast the next morning if we mentioned his offer. But when we went down, the receptionist on duty and a woman in the breakfast area were cold and dismissive. They said we weren’t on the list and spoke to us as though we were trying to claim something we didn’t deserve. It was upsetting and disrespectful. They eventually offered a takeaway coffee, begrudgingly, which was far from what we expected after the welcome the night before. We weren’t asking for charity, just accepting an offer from a hotel staff member. That experience really soured our stay.

We stayed for three days in Paris, and this place worked well as a base between the Eiffel Tower and Disneyland. Our room was spacious and had all the amenities. The metro was only about a five-minute walk away.

The reception staff were nice, and if you’re lucky with your room, there’s a view of the river. That’s about where the positives end for me. It’s a three-star hotel, so expect basic comfort and small, standard-looking rooms. There isn’t enough space for an extra sofa bed, and the slow WiFi, especially at peak times, makes streaming a no-go. Breakfast was much more basic than the pictures suggest, with just one coffee machine and a queue to start the day. Watch out for the bathroom, it’s easy to burn yourself. You get one tiny bottle of body wash and one toilet roll for the week. If you arrive by car, don’t count on parking outside. To open the garage door you have to call them, since there’s no pass or buzzer, so keep your phone handy. There isn’t even a bar where you can complain over a drink. Three stars, but no more.

I love this aparthotel. The service lady and receptionist are so kind, everything is clean, and the price is great. The train station is just 200 meters away.
