Neuilly Park Hotel

The neighbourhood is quiet and upscale, and metro line 1 gets you downtown quickly. Inside, the hotel has a colorful, patterned, deliberately bohemian look that feels a little funny and cacophonous, especially in the age of minimalist hotels. It’s an older place and feels that way. Breakfast is good, though the selection is limited.

The staff are very friendly and speak good English. The location is convenient, near Les Sablons metro, with restaurants and grocery shops within walking distance. Fondation Louis Vuitton is nearby on foot, and Arc de Triomphe is also walkable if you’re up for a longer trip. The rooms are very small and retro in feel, and ours had no fridge. The bathroom was small but sufficient, with a bath and no shower. Breakfast was tasty, served in a very small basement, though I would have liked some fruit or vegetables. It’s a nice enough place for a short stay.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. Neuilly Park Hotel is in a perfect location and makes a great choice for a stay in Paris. Highly recommended!

The area is absolutely wonderful and one of the poshest around Paris. I’ve been there a couple of times, but I’d still book a proper, clean hotel somewhere else. This place was a huge disappointment. As a frequent traveller who’s stayed in thousands of hotels, I can’t understand how it has a rating over 4. It’s very outdated, some rooms are extremely dirty, and the smell makes you want to run away. You can hear everything from nearby rooms, too. The room I was offered had spiders and webs, mold under the dirty walls, and a blanket without proper sheets that looked as if it hadn’t been washed in the past year. The curtains and parts of the bed sheets were similarly stained. The carpet was disgustingly dirty. Some rooms look a little more put together, but check carefully, because colorful wall paintings can hide mold underneath. The smell is everywhere. They try to cover it with perfumed candles around reception and the lobby, but that only diverts your senses from the real problem. For what they charge, they should be ashamed of what they offer. Basic cleaning of the whole unit is the minimum respect guests deserve. Otherwise, you might leave with a spider as a gift or some fungi.
