Fabien and his team made us feel very welcome. The rooftop was a real treat, a friendly place to spend the evening with good food and drinks. Everything about the stay was perfect, and the place itself was really pleasant.

Room 305 smelled so strongly of sewage that it made me nauseous and stung my nose. The smell woke me in the middle of the night, and I couldn't get back to sleep. Even the bed linen had absorbed it, and I could still smell it the whole next day. I reported it, but the only response was, “yes, there can be drain smells when it rains.” That felt pretty inadequate. I asked for breakfast for my children to be comped and made clear that I expected an explanation and an apology from management. I haven't heard anything since, so apparently they've closed the matter. Given how bad the smell was, this probably wasn't a new problem, and I doubt I was the first to report it. Avoid this room, and generally this place if you expect basic comfort and to be treated decently. It's a shame, because the setting is lovely, and the surroundings are pleasant. The rooms are pretty sparse, with no TV or fridge and very thin walls, but the gym, billiards and other facilities could make a stay enjoyable. The room was excruciating enough that I only slept three or four hours and felt sick until morning. Whatever the price, that isn't worth suffering through. The value for money is absolutely not good.

The terrace has a lovely view over the lake, and the room was clean and practical. The bed wasn't very comfortable, though. Fine for a single night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. Decent value for the price.

We had a lovely view of the lake from the rooftop terrace, and the location was ideal, just a few steps from Evian town centre. The rooms were roomy and clean, and the shared dinners in the evening were both generous and delicious.
