Au Relais Nivernais

We were fine here for a couple of nights, though I'd look elsewhere for a longer visit to the region. The restaurant was the highlight: dinner was excellent, especially the meat and local white wines, and the quality felt good for the price. The people at both the hotel and restaurant were friendly, and service was good. We were traveling with friends and had a huge open parking area where we could leave our bikes wherever we liked. The hotel is about 1.4 km from central Nevers and has clearly been around for a while. Our room had a comfortable, large bed, but the shower needed a proper clean so water could come through all the holes. The busy street out front went quiet at night, so we slept well.

The restaurant was one of the best places I've eaten, with genuinely gourmet food and generous portions. You get your money's worth there. The welcome from the staff was incredibly warm, and the room was superb, with a great bathroom, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed. Fantastic hotel, I'd definitely recommend it.

A handy stopover, with a restaurant right there and private parking. The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were spacious with wide, comfortable beds. The bathrooms and toilets were very clean.

I arrived just after the big storm for a Wednesday night stay. The owner had set aside a charming ground-floor room for me, and both the owner and staff were so kind. I had a good meal and an excellent breakfast. Thank you for being so thoughtful, and bravo!
