We’ve just spent a week here and loved every minute. The 3 bedroom Rospico was perfect for us, and we had a great time using the pool, shop and clubhouse. The only hard part was having to leave. Can’t fault any of our stay.

The nearby beaches were beautiful and brilliant for rock pooling, and we were very happy with our stay. Our motorhome pitch had its own toilet and shower shed, which worked well. The pool was great, though busy. There’s no restaurant, and the shop is quite basic. We were there at the end of June, so the pitches weren’t too crowded.

Our cabin was tucked into a lovely green spot, and the campsite itself is peaceful. The pools were nice, including ones suitable for little ones from 1 year old +, with both outdoor and covered options. The beach is within walking distance. The surrounding area feels authentic. It took us a while to get used to opening times and product availability, though that may have been because it wasn’t peak summer. We preferred visiting nearby boulangeries instead of ordering from the campsite store, since we like to see what’s on offer and choose for ourselves. Village markets nearby had more to offer on weekends than on weekdays.

We’ve just got home after two weeks in our caravan. The site is clean and well kept, the pool was great for the kids, and the shop’s daily baguettes and croissants were fab. The staff were lovely, and the location is spot on for beaches. The pool always had a bed available when we went, and there are several gorgeous beaches 5-10 min away by car. We brought our bikes and had some lovely rides around the area. Nevez is pretty, and we’d highly recommend eating at L220. Big thanks to the first aid lady, who is also the lifeguard, for being so helpful with injuries to both my boys. But we wouldn’t return. We’re a family of four from Yorkshire, England, with a 3 year old and a 13 year old, and booked a 90m2 pitch, B07. It was tight for our van, awning, car, chairs and table, with little room for anything else. Without our motor mover, I think we’d have struggled to get the van in and fit everything. The grass and weeds were already long when we arrived and got worse over our two weeks. On other sites, pitches have been mowed or tidied between guests. The pitch was extremely wet. The heavy rain France was having didn’t help, but I think people not using the grey waste properly may also have contributed. I never saw anyone else on the caravan pitches empty theirs. One woman asked where to empty chemical waste after putting it into the ground’s grey waste disposal. Another man asked me where to empty his chemical waste because he didn’t know. They need to give people more information, as nobody told us when we arrived late and checked in at the bar. I only worked it out by walking around the site. Most of the 90m2 pitches don’t get enough sun to dry out. The trees overhang so much that the ground stays wet, with no break between guests. That might be great shade in extreme heat, but our pitch got no direct sunlight. After rain, water came up through the awning carpet and ruined some of our things. I told reception our clothes weren’t drying on the airer and asked if the trees could be pruned, but never heard anything back. We’re from Yorkshire and get plenty of rain, but haven’t had a pitch this bad in wet weather. The bar and shop hours were annoying too. They shut around 1:30 till 5:30, so you couldn’t get an afternoon ice cream, ice lolly or even an alcoholic drink. It would’ve been nice to get a drink by the pool in the afternoon, in a plastic cup, and have ice lollies available when it’s hot. The bar needs an upgrade: some furniture upholstery was frayed and very dirty, so I didn’t want to sit inside. When we did get an ice cream, the portion was tiny for the price, and it looked rock hard, as if it had been there a while. We didn’t get another. The showers only stay on for about two seconds, which is a pain when washing your hair or trying to shower a little one.

The cabin we rented was good, though it could have been cleaned better. This is a camping site, not a hotel. Everything to do there is by the entrance, which was a bit annoying with small children. Since our cabin was at the far end of the park, we would’ve liked a playground closer by. The area around it is nice and quiet, with a public beach about a 10 minute walk away and a small village. There’s not much in the way of restaurants or nightlife within walking distance.
