La Clef Champs-Élysées Paris by The Crest Collection

The staff are super, and breakfast is relaxed and good quality. There’s also a lovely Chinese restaurant on site. The room has a fridge and even a spot to cook for yourself, though with so many restaurants nearby we didn’t use it. It’s a beautiful hotel, with excellent bedrooms that are quiet and very comfortable. The bed is huge, and the bathroom and shower were fantastic.

The hotel was spotless, safe, beautifully maintained, and in an amazing location. Every detail seemed taken care of, and the hospitality was unmatched. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. A big thank you to the manager, guest relations, reception, and every employee who made the stay memorable. Special thanks to Adrien, Rehab, Caroline, and Celine, and to the others whose names I unfortunately can’t remember. You were amazing too. I can’t recommend Le Clef enough, and it’ll be my first choice next time I’m in Paris!

The location is very good, which makes it such a shame that the hotel experience was so disappointing. For the price and a supposed five-star rating, they need to improve the breakfast and reconsider who they hire for reception. The staff at reception all seemed rude and had an attitude for no reason, which left a very negative impression. I waited two hours and my room still wasn’t ready at 3 pm. Breakfast was terrible: the restaurant has only about five tables, the coffee machine is always broken, and there isn’t much variety. I chose to eat somewhere else. After seeing the bad reviews here, I understand why people complain. I don’t know why they haven’t taken action to improve things.

The general experience didn’t match the price. The staff were kind, but communication was poor: I asked for the thick bed cover to be changed to a thinner one and got no action or feedback. Hotel amenities and water weren’t available every day, and when my daughter asked for another bottle of water, we were told there’d be a charge. The TV channels were boring, with no movies or sports. There was also a piece of fabric on the edge of the bed that was very dirty and wasn’t changed during my seven-day stay.
