We loved the view from our thoughtfully arranged room, looking out over the beach and cove. The beds were good, and there was plenty of hot water. Dinner was very good value, though the cheese plate was a bit sad. Go for the tasty desserts instead. The house itself is a lovely Arts and Crafts building, turned into a small hotel with care.

We had a lovely stay, with a good breakfast and excellent dinners on the evenings we ate at Manoir Dalmore. The location is beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Our room had a quirky, cozy feel, with orange touches and a tiny entry space leading to a separate toilet, then a shower and sink behind glass beside the bedroom. The shower area had some old-fashioned details, including a granite spiral staircase above the rain nozzle and below the sink. The manor’s architecture and direct beach access reminded me of Newport, RI. The building was quiet, and the blackout curtains helped us sleep, even with a fairly busy beach right next door. Staff, dog and chickens included, were pleasant and professional. Breakfast and dinner are at set times, 8h30 and 19h30, which makes things clear but can be tricky if your plans don’t fit. They did accommodate my need for caffeine and vegetarian diet. Boulangeries and restaurants are about a 10 minute drive away, so you’ll need a car.
