AC Hotel by Marriott Nice

We’re regulars at AC Marriott Nice, and the warmth of the staff keeps us coming back. They make us feel like family each time, not just guests. Farhat deserves a special mention for his kindness, attention to detail, and friendly energy. He consistently goes above and beyond. Breakfast is fantastic every time, fresh and varied, and a perfect start to the day. People and places like this make a stay feel special. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The all-you-can-eat breakfast was sensational, with a huge selection of delicious food: croissants, pains au chocolat, hot drinks, cold juices, eggs, potatoes, cheeses, and more. The hotel staff were lovely. Maeva was especially cordial, answering every one of our questions pleasantly, thoroughly, and patiently on several occasions. We spoke in French, but I noticed she and other staff had excellent English. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the AC Marriott in Nice. It’s just a couple of steps from the beautiful, spacious Promenade des Anglais, well-lit at all hours for a stroll or early jog. There are also quaint shops and pâtisseries nearby. We highly recommend the hotel!

We paid $1,600 for four nights at the AC hotel, and the room didn’t even have a smart TV. We were stuck with live French TV. Staff suggested casting shows in English from our phone, but the TV didn’t offer that option either. A four-star hotel in 2026 should have a TV that supports streaming. No wonder more people are choosing AirBnBs.

The location is great, with lots of nice places to eat within walking distance, but this was a sour stay. Not recommended 👎 The room felt like a bunker: very little light, a low ceiling, and tinted windows even though there were already curtains. For this price range, it was one of the worst options. The mini fridge was empty and there was no room service, which made it feel like living in an Airbnb. That was a personal letdown. Thursday lunch at the restaurant/bar had nice service and great drinks. But a private event that evening meant it was no longer accessible. On Friday, we waited 20 minutes for the menu before asking for it ourselves. Ten minutes later, a waiter told us the table was reserved, so we left. That was the second day in a row I was extremely let down. Reception was good and the cleaning services were great, but guests should be told that the restaurant/bar requires a reservation. It seems either understaffed or mismanaged. At the pool, the staff didn’t even respond to my greeting, let alone ask if we wanted anything. I’m unsure if the bar is self-service or what.
