We've stayed in Airbnbs and hotels around the world, but nothing has felt as upsetting and unprofessional as this. At first there were two of us traveling, then my daughter decided to join. We contacted the host beforehand about an extra bed for her and said we were happy to pay more if needed. The host said it was fine if she shared the existing bed, with no extra charge. After just one night, though, the host messaged that we had to leave. He said he'd seen a blanket on the floor and accused us of breaking the rules. We were at the beach, a short walk from the apartment, when the message arrived, and hurried back confused and worried. No one was at reception, so we went back to our room. While one of us was taking a quick shower, the host knocked and then let himself in with his own key without giving us a chance to open the door. He started shouting aggressively at one of us in the hallway, calling us liars and demanding we leave. We tried to speak calmly, but he kept yelling and wouldn't let us explain. It was shocking and hostile. If there had been a misunderstanding about someone sleeping on the floor, a respectful conversation could have sorted it out. Instead, we were met with anger and disrespect. We hadn't even complained about the terrible smell at the entrance and in the bathroom. We also had to wash the dishes before using them because they weren't clean. We tried to stay polite and understanding, but the host's behavior left us packing and finding another hotel at very short notice. Being kicked out because someone had slept on the floor, after we'd clearly asked in advance and got approval, felt unjustified and honestly absurd. It was a deeply unpleasant stay. I hope the host learns to speak more calmly and respectfully to future guests.

The location was the one real plus, close to the beach and in a nice area full of restaurants, bars, and cafés. Inside, though, there was a horrible smell from both the furniture and the bathroom. We kept the window open all day and it still lingered, including in the hallway. The walls were so thin we could hear everything from the neighbors, even a sneeze. And although I put the cleaning sign on the door, they only replaced the towels and sheets. The floor was dirty from the first day.

It’s comfortable, and the kitchen has enough equipment to make a small dinner. There are loads of useful places close by, including a supermarket, juice shop, coffee shop, bakery, laundry, bus stops, and a tram. I think it’d be hard to find a better place in Nice.

Such a cozy, cute feel, and right in the center. The room was just the right size, and the service was amazing, everyone so friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here!
