Hotel Beau Rivage

The carpet was wet when we took our shoes off, and the painted shower floor was so slippery I nearly fell. I asked for a bath mat the next morning, but it never arrived. The basin plug wouldn't drain, there was mould on the ceiling, and neither the USB charging point nor the TV remote worked. I reported these problems the next morning and was told they'd be fixed. Nothing was. This was meant to be a birthday treat for my daughter and me, and it was a huge disappointment. I had called from Australia to confirm we would get twin beds because the online booking only showed a queen. We arrived to find one queen bed. They said it couldn't be changed until the next day, which was no big deal, but it was never changed. Don't waste your money here.

The room and bathroom were comfortable and a reasonable size, though a little more space would have been welcome. We felt at home here, thanks to the kind and supportive staff. Parking was very good, although it came at a cost, and breakfast had a great selection for different tastes. Unfortunately, there's no restaurant for dinner.

The room was really nice and the bed was very comfortable, but it was so small that with suitcases we'd have had nowhere to put them. The location was perfect and the staff were amazing. I would definitely come back, though the bad smell in the lobby and on the room robes really put me off.

We had a good-sized family room with very comfortable beds, and breakfast was excellent, with lots of hot and cold choices. The staff were all welcoming and amazing. Beau Rivage is in a fantastic spot in Nice Old Town. We'll definitely return to this lovely hotel and wonderful Nice soon.
