Nice Résidence

JB looked after me throughout my stay, from welcoming me when I arrived to checking in thoughtfully and making sure I had what I needed. Benedict handled my check-in warmly and professionally, and gave me helpful tips about the main sights so I could explore Nice like a local. She even surprised me with delicious homemade warm cookies, a lovely personal touch. The Hilton in Nice is well located near the main attractions, and the hospitality made a strong impression on me. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommend it.

The DoubleTree Nice was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and it's right by the train station, so trips to Monaco, Antibes, or Cannes were simple. The reception team were friendly and helpful. Cindy was approachable and warm whenever I needed assistance, and JB greeted me with a smile each time I came through the door. That made it feel like home. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it for the convenience, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

We stayed for four days and left very dissatisfied. On entering our assigned room, we were hit by a strong fried fish smell. Reception moved us to a smaller room, where the smell seemed fine at first. The next morning, though, we woke to the smell of fried onions, and it was impossible to stay in the room. We contacted reception again. They gave us an air-cleaning machine, but it didn't help, and they didn't offer another room then. A different strong smell appeared each day. On our last evening it became unbearable, so we called reception once more. They offered a room change, but we were leaving early and didn't want to pack and unpack again. We asked them to pass the problem to hotel management so it could be addressed another way. At checkout, management didn't respond or offer a refund or compensation for any of the nights. An employee also told us that many other guests had already complained about similar smells.

Camille made our early arrival easy. We reached the hotel around 9 a.m., too soon to check in, so she suggested coffee at a nearby cafe and later contacted us before noon to say our room was ready. She greeted us warmly, recognized our Hilton Honors status, and gave us tips on sights and restaurants in Nice. The hotel is right beside the train station, which made it a convenient stop between arriving at the airport and catching a train the next day. Our room was clean and modern, and the hotel had first opened in 2024. We enjoyed drinks at the rooftop bar with its excellent view. Breakfast the next morning had lots of choices, including fresh omelets, and the buffet croissants were some of the best I've tasted. Everything about the stay was wonderful. We'd absolutely stay again if we're back in Nice.
