Hotel Byakko Nice

I’ve spent three weeks in Nice each year for the past seven years, and this was easily the best room I’ve had. The location is fabulous, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. When I got sick and had to leave earlier than planned, they kindly directed me to emergency medical help. They really felt like friends while I was ill.

The employees were all very friendly and helpful, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had strong water pressure. Breakfast was amazing, and guests can use the hotel’s roof terrace for free. It’s near both the city centre and train station, with public transport close by too. The street noise at night meant it wasn’t very quiet, though. We’d recommend this hotel in Nice.

The roof terrace was a relaxing spot in the evenings with a glass of wine, and it was a nice touch to have tea, coffee, juice and water available from 2pm to 6pm. Breakfast was hectic, though, with everyone packed in like sardines. Staggered seating booked at check-in could ease the crowd and give people more room. We were warmly welcomed, and our room was ready early. It was missed for fresh towels and bed-making, but the front desk sorted that quickly once I mentioned it. The bin men collecting street bins around midnight can be noisy, though it doesn’t last long and isn’t really the hotel’s fault. We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Byakko and really enjoyed our trip to Nice.

The price felt fair, and I enjoyed my stay. The service was very friendly and the location was good. My only issue was the lack of soundproofing; noise from the hallway and upstairs carries into the room.
