Hotel Cresp

A friendly place to stay while visiting Nice. It's not a standard hotel, but the rooms are comfortable and have what you need. The location is near the opéra, with sea views, and it's still quiet.

The beds and pillows weren't comfortable, and noise from drunk people in the street kept disturbing us at night. Even with a sound machine, it was hard to get restful sleep. At first, Hotel Cresp seemed like a great find: good location, a nice communal balcony, and what looked like a good price. But after a few nights, the mold and mildew smell throughout the building was hard to ignore. I woke up with a sore throat every morning, which really affected our enjoyment of the days. We felt much better after moving to another hotel. The value might look good at first, but the stay overall wasn't great. It's not a terrible place, though anyone considering it should know about the smell and the significant noise, especially with an older building.

⚠️DANGER ⚠️. Cresp Hotel’s Booking.com account was recently compromised. Scammers were able to send convincing requests for advance payment to guests using real reservation details and access sensitive guest data. This points to a major data security breach. Until the hotel confirms the issue is fully resolved, treat any request for payment in advance as suspicious and consider staying elsewhere.

The room seemed basically new, with a new bathroom and bed, a roomy shower, and a really nice air conditioning system. The location is great for reaching the center, the seaside, and lots of restaurants. Room cleaning was fast and very thorough. The staff aren't around much, so you have to be lucky to run into them, and the hotel isn't very intuitive to navigate. Still, I expected worse. Hotel Cresp is much better than other hotels at the same price. Thanks, Hotel Cresp!
