Hotel de la Fontaine

The staff were great, and the location was perfect, near the promenade with lots of cafés and restaurants around. We stayed for two nights. The room was lovely and had everything I needed, with plenty of storage and a desk. The bathroom was new and clean. Breakfast was nice, nothing special, but good enough.

I loved my three nights at Hotel de la Fontaine. The courtyard was a lovely, peaceful spot for a quiet break. My room was spotless, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with a cozy feel that made it easy to unwind. It’s just steps from the beach and Promenade des Anglais, with plenty of cafés and shops nearby. A charming, elegant hotel that feels comfortable and is good value in the heart of Nice. 🌸

The location is the main advantage: practically in the city center and only five minutes from the sea. That seems to explain the high price, but the room and amenities don’t justify it. The rooms are incredibly small, and the bathroom is smaller still. Its door seems damaged or partly broken and doesn’t work properly, though I’m not sure exactly what’s wrong. There are no hooks or racks for towels, a basic thing any hotel should have. Breakfast food is good quality, but the selection is very modest and limited, so it doesn’t make up for the other shortcomings.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the service was great. Everyone on the team was welcoming and kind, especially Hanan, who was really caring and supportive. I’d highly recommend it for an affordable, friendly stay in Nice.
