Hotel du Pin Nice Port

We stayed for 16 nights, and I can see why people leave good reviews. For what it costs, this hotel deserves five stars. The location made our stay especially easy. We could walk to restaurants, cafes, a laundromat, boulangeries, old Nice, the markets, Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill), the Port, the photography museum, and public transport for trips to historic towns. Our Privilege room was clean and comfortable, with a TV, free wi-fi, air conditioning, a small bar fridge, hair dryer, and a coffee machine with pods. We stocked the fridge with drinks from nearby grocery stores. Our windows overlooked busy restaurants, but closing them muted the noise enough for us to sleep well. Reception also had free filtered water for filling our bottles, and breakfast downstairs was included, plentiful, and consistent. The people made it a five-star favorite for me. The front desk team were warm and welcoming at any hour, and the cleaners kept our room spotless. At Foam, also a micro brewery, the breakfast team kept watch over the buffet, topping things up and clearing tables promptly, so there was always something available no matter when we came down. My husband enjoyed the yogurt, cereal, fruit, eggs, little sausages, croissants, and pain au chocolate. My own happy routine was a coffee or three, a piece of warm baguette with butter and apricot jam, and a good book by the window overlooking Nice's lovely streets. Absolute bliss.
