I wouldn't recommend staying here. For me, the room didn't justify what I paid, and it felt like the price was mostly for a central location near Old Nice. The staff were pleasant, and the water bottle refill stations were useful. I skipped the hotel breakfast since, depending on what you need to eat, a nearby cafe could be cheaper. For example, a matcha and ciabatta sandwich cost 16 euros. I booked a queen bed and terrace. The bed was two twins pushed together, and the seam was clear in my photo and easy to feel. The terrace was tiny, barely enough room for two feet, and looked out at the tram. I should have thought through the location better, but the tram noise was loud and soundproofing seemed nonexistent. The tiny terrace sits behind a glass door with no seal. People sometimes yelled near the tram at night. There were homeless people around the hotel and tram, and as a solo woman I didn't feel safe walking nearby at night. On the one occasion I did, someone heckled me for money. The bathroom had a musty smell that came back every time I turned on a faucet. The room carpet was very worn, which didn't match my impression that the hotel had been renovated recently. On my second-to-last morning, housekeeping opened the bathroom door while I was inside brushing my teeth. The door had been locked, but it seems the electronic lock didn't actually secure it. There are no locks on the bathrooms, and even with the water running, housekeeping opened the door. It was very disconcerting.

Alyona, our morning waitress, was lovely to meet and gave us a recommendation. The breakfast was tasty, and the hotel's design was nice throughout. The rooms were cute, if a little small. We had a pretty good stay.

The location is excellent, and the staff are courteous and friendly. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed, though. A rude guest upstairs could turn on the television and make it hard to sleep.

This was a comfortable, clean, convenient base for seeing Nice, right by the central train station, a tram stop, and a main pedestrian street. We chose it because it was an accessibly priced Marriott, though not cheap. The rooms are small, as is common in this region, but our king bed was comfortable. They did a light clean daily. Don't expect much in the way of extras. When they forgot to replace our toilet paper one day, I was told I could get more myself from the guest supply closet on the first floor. The street's proximity to the station made it feel a little sketchy at night, but not enough to put me off. I'd recommend it as a basic place to sleep while exploring, as long as you aren't looking for hotel luxuries. If you reserve breakfast ahead, which is worthwhile, it costs 20 euros per person. It's quite basic, with scrambled eggs, cold cuts, bread, and a little fruit, but filling enough if you're keeping to a budget.

The hotel was spotless and new, and the room was bigger and more comfortable than any European-standard room we've had. Its location couldn't have been better. We spent five wonderful nights, and the stay exceeded expectations. The system was explained clearly and upfront. Thanks especially to Nysha, Nina, and Kargar at the front desk for their kindness, help, and recommendations.
