La NONETE

We had a great ten days at La Nonete 1. The apartment’s colorful mosaic floors and Art Deco furnishings and artwork made it a real treat to stay there. Communication with the owner or property manager was always prompt, and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The balcony overlooking the Mediterranean was mesmerizing and became a favorite spot for meals. There’s also a formal dining room with French doors onto a side balcony, plus a living room with a small sofa and a few chairs for watching TV. The kitchen is compact but has what you need. There are two bedrooms, one with a large en-suite bathroom and another with sea views and a small bathroom down the hall. All the beds were comfortable, with lovely linens and plenty of towels, and WiFi worked well throughout. Buses to Nice and other places stop at the top of the hill, and restaurants line the seafront walk. Taxis and Ubers had trouble finding the “chemin privé”; telling them we were near the Hotel Versailles helped. If you want somewhere unusual to unwind by the sea or pool, this is a lovely choice.

The owners were so welcoming, and we’d rent this apartment again. It has a lovely pool, stays clean, and there are plenty of places to sit indoors and out. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bay views are beautiful.

We’ve been coming back to LA NONETE for four years and are always happy here. The hosts are charming and incredibly responsive. There’s private parking right by the house on a semi-private street, and town is a five-minute walk away. The beach takes about 15 minutes on foot, while Nice is a 10-minute drive, with all the city has to offer. The views are breathtaking and the interior is full of gorgeous details.

The terrace view is incredible, and the apartment is lovely to relax in or use as a base for sightseeing around the French Riviera. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything we needed. Hard to find words for the place. If paradise had a name, surely it would be La Nonete.
