The evening view was amazing.

The beach is rocky, but it's nice, and there are artists around at night. Walking there in shoes after dark was no problem.
The stones can hurt your feet at first, so special shoes are a good idea. After a few visits, getting into the water doesn't feel as painful. In August the water was veeery warm, and once you're in, you just want to stay there forever. About five meters out, the ground disappears. The beach looks packed, like there's nowhere to lie down, but we always found a spot right by the water, in the front row. We had an amazing time. 💦❤🥰💝👍👍👍
We came in the low season, and it was quiet and lovely, with hardly anyone around.
This beach worked well for adults traveling on their own, but I wouldn't choose it with children. We went after seeing a review called “Best private beaches in Nice” that said there was a playground for kids, but there wasn't one. The rocks are huge and hard to walk over, and getting in and out of the water was tricky. Water shoes are a must.
