Nice Excelsior Centre Gare

The service was excellent, and everyone on staff was super friendly. We had a clean room with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is about a three-minute walk from Nice-Ville train station and maybe 15-20 minutes on foot from promenade de anglais. A perfect stay.

The hotel was a great base for exploring the French Riviera by train, right by the station. The old town, the best part of lovely Nice, is a 30-minute walk away, while the sea and promenade are just 12 minutes away. We had a deluxe room with a balcony after paying a little more. It overlooked a small pool and seating area that hardly anyone used, and a bar that was never open, though we could buy drinks at reception. The continental breakfast was plentiful, and having free tea, coffee, and water in the terrace room was a nice touch. The staff looked after us very well, and I'd absolutely recommend this excellent hotel.

We slept really well, with a comfortable bed and pillows, and our room and bathroom were spacious. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and had a French boutique feel. The neighborhood felt safe to walk around, too. The location worked well for us, just a few minutes from the train station for day trips, with restaurants and sights easy to reach on foot. Breakfast is available, but we're not breakfast people, so I can't comment on it. It was busy, so I imagine it was good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll stay here again when we return to Nice.

We found this to be great value and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were the real highlight, always friendly and glad to help, and the hotel felt welcoming. Its location is ideal, close to the main train station and an easy walk from the beach, restaurants, and most city attractions. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Nice.
