Nice la Belle, City Centre 1 Bed, 2 Terrace, Quiet

The bathroom felt a little dated, but the water pressure was great, and having air conditioning was much appreciated. Just keep in mind there’s no elevator. Hotel Lépante was a solid, convenient choice in Nice. The beach, Old Town, tram, and train station were all less than 10 minutes away on foot. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and helpful.

The hotel was gorgeous, the staff were really kind, and the location was very central. The breakfast cost too much for what it included, and the wifi was the worst I’ve ever seen in my life.

Check-in was very friendly, and the room was clean, if small. It had air conditioning, and there’s a nice terrace where you can relax. The beach promenade is about a 15 minute walk, with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way.

We ended up with a modest but perfectly fine room on the 2nd floor after asking to switch. Our first night had been in a tiny attic room facing the street, and it was very noisy. I can see why reviews are so mixed. The staff were nice and spoke English. The hotel is fairly close to the old town, and prices were reasonable. Rooms range from bad to acceptable, but none are anything special. An elevator and a small fridge in every room would be a big improvement.
