The walk into the center and to the seaside is a little longer, but it takes you through the gorgeous Promenade du Paillon, so the location suited us well. The hotel feels a bit dated, though some rooms and floors look refreshed. If you can, try for the 6th floor. Breakfast was fine, with good choices each day and good coffee and tea. The staff were very helpful, and Francesco was especially kind. He made our stay feel more special. Nice and southern France are simply lovely!

6/10
The room was pretty basic, and the furniture showed visible wear. It could use some refurbishment. What really disappointed us was the pool. We booked because the website advertised one, but it stayed closed for all four nights, even though the weather was lovely. We wouldn’t have picked this hotel if we’d known it wouldn’t be available. That should be made clear ahead of time so guests can choose with the right information. The location was convenient, within easy walking distance of the Old Town and key attractions, which made getting around Nice easy and enjoyable.

10/10
There were three adults in our family, and the hotel worked well for exploring Nice’s old town and its beautiful attractions. Our rooms were a good size, and having a free water dispenser on every floor was very welcome. The breakfast buffet offered a very good range and quality. Everyone on staff was friendly and extremely helpful, with excellent customer service. Thank you.

The hotel is in an excellent location, but what really shaped our stay was the care we got from Vivian. She was always smiling and made us feel at home. People like her can change how you feel about a hotel and a city, and Vivian gave us some of our best references for our time in Nice.

2/10
The friendly reception and cleaning staff were the one bright spot. Everything else made our Christmas stay, from 23-26 Dec, extremely disappointing. The décor was dated, the carpets stained, the toilet seat chipped, the gym dirty, and the pool was closed with a substandard area. Dinner at the restaurant was disappointing for the high prices. Don’t order the risotto or fish soup if you stay there. I rate the stay one star.
