Novotel Suites Nice Airport

The hotel is right outside the tram, so getting to the airport was easy. My room was larger and more user-friendly than most in its price range. At check-in and reception, everyone went out of their way to help. Laura, Thomas, and Nicolas were fantastic. They let me use the hotel laundry on Sunday, which was a godsend. Novotel Suites is lucky to have such rockstar staff. I’d welcome them in my businesses anytime.

The location made getting around simple: the tram stop beside the hotel goes to the city center and airport, and the train station is a five-minute walk or less, with day trips to Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Eze, and other nearby places. We liked the accessible location, friendly staff, spacious room, good breakfast, and nice view. The beds were comfortable, though the larger pillows were a bit hard. The TV supports casting, but the connection was unstable, and the fridge barely kept our things cool. The air conditioning was unreliable too, and we had sweaty nights in mid-October. Breakfast tasted good, but the selection was exactly the same each day. No complaints about its quality, though. The coffee machine in the room needs cleaning, and the hallways need some care: the carpets looked unclean, the air felt stuffy, and they should be kept as fresh as the lobby. The toilet is separate from the bathroom and quite far away. Both spaces are prefabricated, but that wasn’t a big deal. We slept well overall and would consider the hotel again when we return to Nice.

The breakfast was amazing, and our room was very clean and comfortable, with lots of extras. Reception staff were kind. Parking caused a small problem, and the instructions from the guy were a bit confusing, but then we realized we weren’t the only ones having trouble. It was alright in the end. I recommend the hotel!

I’d consider staying here again if I needed an airport hotel, especially for a very early flight. Otherwise, I’d stay in town and take a taxi to the airport. There’s no airport shuttle anymore, but the tram stop is nearby and just one stop from the airport. This is one of the better airport hotels in Nice, though I’d knock off a star if you’re using it as a base for the city. The Novotel Suites shares a building with an Ibis Styles. I stayed just before the pandemic, mainly wanting a comfortable place near the airport for the night before my flight, and the experience was mostly good. The rooms are large, with a Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, and microwave. Hotel amenities seemed limited: the gym didn’t have much equipment, and the pool was closed for winter. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and its good selection, but wouldn’t pay extra for it when a couple of pastries nearby cost much less.
