Residhome Nice Aéroport

Getting here from the airport was easy: take the free tram for 5 minutes, get off at Grand Arenas, then walk another 5 minutes. St.Augustine train station is also a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is in a quiet area, with a Chinese restaurant opposite, though there's no supermarket nearby. Carrefour is a 20-minute walk away at the Promenade. Rooms were nice and clean, with a kitchenette, full dishes, a boiler, cutlery, and more, so you can cook as much as you like. There's an in-room safe and mini fridge. Breakfast is continental, not a full breakfast. The reception staff were friendly and informative. The Wi-Fi was strong, I think the router is in your closet, and there were plenty of TV channels. The corridor air freshener was nice. Overall I was happy with my stay. The main drawback is the lack of housekeeping: there's no daily room cleaning. For fresh towels, go downstairs to reception, and you have to take your own rubbish down to the lobby, where they'll show you the bin area. Dishwasher detergent is available in the lobby too. The hot and cold water in the shower was inconsistent.

The hotel is near the airport but far from Nice center and the old town. Nice Saint Augustin stop is a 6-minute walk away, and the airport is a 15-minute walk or accessible by above-ground metro beside the TER train stop. On Google Maps, search for Residhome Nice Aeroport rather than entering the address, which takes you to a complex with several 10-story buildings. The hotel is opposite Oxxo Hotel, in the same building. Given what we paid for the inexpensive hotels in central Nice, staying here would've been better, even with the extra distance.

We’ve only been here for two days and already wanted to leave a review. The apartment is lovely, everything feels new, and the hotel is quiet and close to the airport. They gave us such a warm welcome. We’d happily give it more than five stars if we could, and we’ll be back. We recommend it to everyone.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the location made it easy to get around by public transport. Still, the housekeeping arrangement was a real disappointment. We stayed several nights and learned only when we arrived that rooms are cleaned and towels and bed linen changed just once a week. That had not been mentioned on the booking site. We also weren't given enough towels, which made the stay less comfortable. We left with a bad impression of the hygiene policy, despite appreciating the service and location. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
